but most people call me “Dax”. you can call me either – whatever floats your boat.

i honestly hate these about me things, because how do i summarize the past 30 years & all that i am in a few paragraphs? hardest task ever. well, not ever. but i like to be dramatic for a second.

i’m no one special really – just a hopelessly awkward & slightly loud new yorker finding her way in north carolina. 4 years ago, i packed up my life – including my dog (& one of the best things to happen to me), molly rue – and moved south for a full-time role in ministry.

while my resume suggests i should be working in television or running a classroom, God had different plans – and i couldn’t be more grateful for the journey he has me on.

when i’m not writing, i’m usually browsing my local library, sipping coffee, watching jeopardy, playing soccer, eating all the ice cream, or enjoying nature with molly rue.

i’ve kept journals since i was in the 2nd grade, and they are filled with revelation God has given me through messy pleas, mundane moments, and miraculous tidbits.

this is the space where i want to share some of that with you so that you can hear God’s voice speaking to your situations, too.
